Women’s basketball befuddled by Shenandoah



FREDERICK, Md. – The Hood College women’s basketball team dropped a 74-43 final to Shenandoah in non-conference action.

Marlise Newson finished with 17 points, three rebounds and three steals. The junior went 11-of-16 at the free throw line. 
Morgan Anderson grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. 

How it Happened   


The first quarter was limited offensively on both sides. The teams were shooting under 39 percent (5-of-13) just over five minutes into the game. The Hornets outscored the Blazers 6-2 over the final 4:30 of the quarter to take a 14-7 lead at the end of one.
