INDIANAPOLIS – Three-time Horizon League Player of the Year, Macee Williams has been named the #HLWBB Player of the Week for her performance in the Jaguars’ back-to-back conference wins at home this week. The Jags defeated Oakland on Friday (Feb. 4), 64-56, followed by a win over Detroit Mercy on Sunday, 66-49.
Williams averaged 17.0 points, 15.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game and recorded her eighth and ninth double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds in the win over Oakland and 15 points with 18 rebounds in the Jaguars’ win over the Titans. She shot 51.9 percent (14-of-27) from the floor in the two games combined. Williams leads the league in rebounds per game with 10.3 and is second in scoring with 17.6 points per game.
