Flyers brush aside Rocks to round out perfect weekend

With the klaxon probably still ringing in their ears from
the fantastic victory they had secured live in front of the Sky Sports cameras the
night before, you could forgive the Bristol Flyers for being a tad sluggish as
they returned home from Sheffield today to face the Glen Luss Glasgow Rocks.

Coach Andreas Kapoulas’ side didn’t miss a beat, though, as
they stormed to a 21-13 start at the SGS Arena and shut down the usually
free-scoring Rocks to maintain their eight-point lead into the half-time interval,
leading 37-29 after 20 minutes.

Bristol’s defence suffocated the Rocks at times, who shot at
a clip of just 15% from beyond the perimeter in the first half, with new
signing Vance Johnson having a tough introduction to life in the BBL as he went
