What to Know
The #11 Iowa State Cyclones haven’t won a matchup against the #25 Texas Tech Red Raiders since Jan. 16 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Wednesday. The Cyclones’ homestand continues as they prepare to take on Texas Tech at 9 p.m. ET Jan. 5 at James H. Hilton Coliseum. Texas Tech will be strutting in after a win while Iowa State will be stumbling in from a loss.
Iowa State was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 77-72 to the Baylor Bears. Despite the defeat, Iowa State got a solid performance out of guard Tristan Enaruna, who had 23 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Red Raiders ended the year with a bang, routing the Alabama State Hornets 75-53 last week. Guard Davion Warren (15 points) was the top scorer for Texas Tech.
