HENNIKER, N.H. – The Smith College basketball team mounted a 22-3 run in the third quarter to come from behind and defeat New England College, 68-48 in a non-conference matchup Friday evening. Senior Elle Jo Whalen (Woodinville, Wash./Woodinville) recorded her second double-double in as many games for the Pioneers.
Smith improves to 8-1 on theΒ year, while the Pilgrims drop to 7-5 overall.
