The 2022 WNBA regular season gets an early start on May 6 and features an expanded schedule of 36 games per team. The 36-game slate was initially announced Nov. 18.
Next yearโs regular season ends on August 14. The schedule needs to end by mid-September as the FIBA Womenโs World Cup competition begins September 22ย in Sydney, Australia.ย
Features of the 2022 schedule:
All 12 teams will see action on opening weekend.
The league will have a โseriesโ play format again. โIn some instances where a team is scheduled to play twice in the same city, those games have been scheduled to be played consecutively.โ
