Men’s Hoops Drops Heartbreaker to Kansas State

TEMPE– Sun Devil Men’s Basketball played in front of their home crowd for the second straight game when they hosted Kansas State on Tuesday.
 
Arizona State (12-10, 3-8) persevered until the very end, but suffered a narrow 71-70 loss to Kansas State (11-11, 5-6). After the Wildcats took a 13-point lead early in the second half, the Sun Devils found their rhythm and chipped away at the lead. At one point, Arizona State even managed to retake the lead late in the contest.
 
Four Sun Devil’s managed to reach double figures in tonight’s matchup, with Alston Mason leading the way with 20 points while also adding six assists. Forward Basheer Jihad finished with 15 points while connecting on 6-of-7 from the line. Guard BJ Freeman continued his effective scoring, reaching double figures for the 17th time. He finished the night with 14 points and cleared the glass for seven boards. On top of that, Adam Miller finished with 10 points while shooting 4-of-6 from the field.
