Women’s Basketball Fall On The Road At Howard

WASHINGTON, DC—South Carolina State women’s basketball continues to struggle in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play dropping a tough 68-41 decision to Howard Monday (Feb. 3) inside Burr Gymnasium.

South Carolina State falls to 2-12 overall, 1-6 in MEAC, while Howard improves to 11-9 overall, 4-1 in the league.

Junior guard Angie Juste-Jean finished with a team-high 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Shaunice Reed added nine (9) points in the loss.

Howard was led by Zennia Thomas with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while teammate Destiny Howell added 13 in the win.

NEXT UP: South Carolina State return to MEAC play on Saturday (Feb. 15) when the host visit Morgan State in a pivotal showdown inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
