Tennessee Vols latest top 25 basketball ranking

Tennessee (16-2, 3-2 SEC) will play two Southeastern Conference basketball games this week.

The Vols will host Mississippi State on Tuesday at Food City Center. Tipoff between Tennessee and the Bulldogs is slated for 7 p.m. EST (ESPN2).

Tennessee will also play at No. 1 Auburn on Saturday. Tipoff between the Vols and Tigers is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST and will be televised by ESPN.

Auburn is ranked No. 1 for a second consecutive week in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll. The Vols were ranked No. 1 for five straight weeks before Auburn moved to the top spot in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll.

Tennessee enters this week ranked No. 7.
