Aggie fans react to Texas A&M’s 68-57 home win over LSU

Texas A&M gets back in the winning column with an 11-point win over LSU in front of a rowdy bunch in Reed Arena to move to 14-4 and 3-2 in SEC play on the season.

The return of Wade Taylor IV ended on a high note, as the Aggies causally pulled away late with their signature stay of play consisting of smothering defense and offensive rebounding. However, the free-throw issues are still lingering, and the loudest cheers in the second half came when Taylor hit back-to-back free throws, something that’s been absent for weeks. Saturday was just what A&M needed to bring some joy back to Aggieland.

As usual, it wasn’t pretty, but at least they looked more equipped to handle the offense with Taylor and Zhuric Phelps, who combined for 25 points, and Coleman logging 10 points. Coach Buzz Williams now has a new starting point five games through conference play and still needs to clean up the shot selection in the future.
