Out of all the negatives we could discuss in this game, Ven-Allen Lubin played one of his best games of the season. He finished with 13 points and five rebounds on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. That makes his second straight game as one of the team’s top rebounders.
He played 24 minutes in reserve and sometimes alongside Jalen Washington. Jae’Lyn Withers, a once starter on this Tar Heels team, has now seen under 10 minutes of action in two of the team’s last three games. From the looks of it, Washington is the starter, followed by Lubin, and rounded out by Withers and James Brown.
