Huskies Stay Undefeated At Home With Win Over Cal State Fullerton

SEATTLE – The Washington women’s basketball team improved to 5-0 at home with a win over Cal State Fullerton Thursday afternoon, 62-58, in Alaska Airlines Arena.

The Dawgs (5-1, 0-0 Big Ten) were led by Elle Ladine’s 20-piece, her second 20+ point performance of the season. She also added seven rebounds and an assist.

The Titans drop to 0-5 on the season with today’s loss in Seattle.

The Huskies outrebounded Cal State Fullerton, concluding the game with a 42-25 advantage, the fourth time this season Washington has pulled down 40+ rebounds.

One difference maker for UW came on the offensive glass as the Dawgs pulled down 17 compared to the Titans’ eight.

Dalayah Daniels made her presence known all over the stats sheet, finishing with eight points, a team-high nine rebounds, two blocks, and tied a career-best with five assists.

Sayvia Sellers added nine for Washington to go along with four rebounds, an assist, and a steal.

Devin Coppinger matched her career-best with eight points, including two three-pointers.

The Dawgs came out big in the third quarter to outscore CSUF 21-14, connecting on 9-of-15 shots (60 percent) and limiting the Titans to 33.3 percent shooting in the quarter.
