The new KenPom.com ratings are out for the 2024-25 season and Indiana is ranked higher to begin Mike Woodson’s fourth season than it was a year ago.
IU is No. 39 in Pomeroy’s ratings, which is the 10th-highest rating for a Big Ten team.
Indiana started the last season at No. 49 and finished at No. 91. The Hoosiers missed the NCAA tournament for the first time in three seasons under Mike Woodson.

The Hoosiers sit at No. 49 nationally in offensive efficiency in the preseason, according to Pomeroy, and at No. 34 in defensive efficiency.
Indiana finished last season ranked 105th nationally in offensive efficiency and 84th in defensive efficiency.
Indiana is projected to finish the regular season 18-11 overall and 10-10 in the Big Ten.
The top ranked non-conference opponents on Indiana’s schedule are Louisville (No. 64), South Carolina (No. 65), Sam Houston State (No. 114), Chattanooga (No. 134) and Winthrop (No. 163).
