CU women’s basketball lands commitment from Logyn Greer

The future of head coach JR Payne’s Colorado women’s basketball program is becoming brighter and brighter.

One day after newcomer Tabitha Betson was named the preseason Big 12 Freshman of the Year, the Buffs landed a commitment from class of 2025 four-star forward Logyn Greer on Friday afternoon.

According to ESPN’s HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings, Greer is the No. 80 overall prospect in her class. The 6-foot-3 forward from Friends’ Central School in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania chose Colorado over West Virginia and Clemson.

“I’d say it was the play style and the family atmosphere,” Greer told On3 regarding her commitment to Colorado. “I just felt like I was very comfortable there… I’d say just the atmosphere and the school itself is just beautiful being around all the mountains and everything. I just think that the atmosphere is very nice.”

Greer becomes Colorado’s third class of 2025 commitment, joining fellow forward Sophie Zadel (San Antonio, Texas) and guard Erianna Gooden (Fort Smith, Arkansas). Zadel announced her pledge in August and Gooden followed in mid-September.
