Big 12 Announces Dates, Opponents for 2024-25 Conference Slate


The Big 12 Conference released the dates and opponents for 18-game Big 12 Conference schedule on Thursday. The Arizona women’s basketball team, under eighth-year head coach Adia Barnes and competing in the Big 12 Conference for the first time, open league play Dec. 21 on the road at BYU.
 
Including the nine home conference games, Arizona will play 17 home games during the 2024-25 season. Season tickets are on sale now and single-game tickets along with mini plans will go on sale Oct. 12.

Start times and television designations will be announced at a later date.

In addition to the previously mentioned BYU road game, the Wildcats will host Utah in the McKale Center on Dec. 31 to round out the month and the calendar year. To start 2025, a road trip to Central Florida on Jan. 4 gets things started and is followed by home games against Baylor (Jan. 8) and Iowa State (Jan. 11).

 

From there, Arizona hits the road for two games in the Sunflower State to take on Kansas State on Jan. 16 in Manhattan, Kan., and Kansas on Jan. 19 in Lawrence. Then Cincinnati (Jan. 22) and West Virginia (Jan. 25) pay a visit to Tucson before Arizona closes the month at Utah on Jan. 31.

 

To open February, the Wildcats are at Colorado on Feb. 5 before welcoming in-state rival Arizona State to the McKale Center on Feb. 8 for the first of two meetings between the two programs. Arizona then travels to Oklahoma State for a game on Feb. 12 and then returns to Tucson to host TCU (Feb. 16) and BYU (Feb. 19).

 

The homestretch includes a game at Houston (Feb. 22) then a home game against Texas Tech on Feb. 25 before closing the regular season at Arizona State on March 1.

 

The 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship will take place at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. Between March 5-10.
