Although the WNBA faces annual financial losses of around $10 million, which the NBA covers, Shaquille O’Neal believes there is one final step needed to truly elevate the WNBA to the same level as the NBA.

During an interview, while attending Friday’s game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky, which featured standout rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, O’Neal discussed the recent surge in the sport’s popularity.

He expressed his enthusiasm for the increased visibility of WNBA players and advocated for them to receive “similar contracts” to those of NBA players.
