Women’s Basketball Announces 2024-25 Non-Conference Slate

PULLMAN, Wash. (August 16, 2024) – Washington State Women’s Basketball will host four contests and compete in the San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico as part of their 2024-25 nonconference schedule, Head Coach Kamie Ethridge announced.

The Cougars return seven players from last year’s team who finished with the program’s second-straight 20-win season with 21 wins, and played in a postseason tournament for the fourth-straight season. WSU was a No. 1 seed in the inaugural WBIT and advanced to the semifinals in Indianapolis after moving past Lamar, Santa Clara and Toledo in the first three rounds of the tournament.

WSU will host an exhibition contest with Lewis and Clark State (Oct. 20) before opening the season at home on Monday, Nov. 4 against Eastern Washington, followed by a road trip to Palo Alto, California to face former Pac-12 opponent, Stanford (Nov. 7).

The Cougars will return home for a matchup with Idaho (Nov. 10) before hitting the road to face Texas Tech (Nov. 16) and Iowa (Nov. 24).

For the Thanksgiving holiday, WSU will travel to Puerto Rico for the San Juan Shootout where they will play Norfolk State (Nov. 28), Virginia (Nov. 29) and Drake (Nov. 30).

Washington State will open the month of December on the road again to face another former Pac-12 opponent in Oregon (Dec. 4) before returning to Pullman to close out its non-conference schedule against BYU (Dec. 13).

West Coast Conference play for the Cougs tips off Thursday, Dec. 19 at San Diego.
