After a back-and-forth contest, Canada’s late run helped it collect a 93-83 win over Australia in the 2024 Olympics. Canada is now 2-0 in group play and has a strong shot to advance to the knockout stage of the international tournament.
The 10-point win featured Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Lu Dort matching up against former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Josh Giddey. All three players had productive outings.
Gilgeous-Alexander had 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting and three steals. Dort had 11 points and three steals. Giddey finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
