Donta Scott Added To Golden State’s NBA Summer League Roster


COLLEGE PARK, MD – As the NBA Summer League gets underway this weekend, Maryland’s Donta Scott was added to Golden State’s roster for both the California Classic Summer League and the Las Vegas NBA 2K25 League.
 
The Warriors will co-host the California Classic alongside Sacramento with the 12-game schedule split between the Kings’ Golden 1 Center (July 6-7, 9) and San Francisco’s Chase Center (July 6-7, 10). 
 
The teams in San Francisco will be Golden State, Los Angeles, Miami, and Sacramento’s No. 2 Summer League squad. Sacramento’s site will feature the Kings’ No. 1 summer league team, San Antonio, Charlotte, and the Chinese National Team.
 
Scott averaged 11.2 points and 4.7 rebounds this past season for the Terps en route to earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors. He became one of just five players in program history to surpass 1,500 career points and 800 career rebounds. 
 
He finished his career ranked 14th all-time in scoring with 1,690 points and tied for eighth with 859 career rebounds. He holds the program’s all-time records for games played (162), games started (146), and minutes played (4,770), while also ranking fourth in made three pointers (211).
 
Scott was a 2023 All-Big Ten Honorable Mention selection and was twice on the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Watch List (2021-22, 2022-23).
 
Following the season, he was selected to the 70th annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament as one of 64 players to compete in the pre-Draft event.

Format: 
Similar to the other summer leagues, the California Classic will feature 10-minute quarters, limited timeouts and modified rules, including increased personal and team foul limits.
