NWBA Accepting Applications for High Performance Director

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. – The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is launching a nationwide search for qualified applicants for the full-time position of High Performance Director. 

 

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the High Performance Director will have overall responsibility for the development and management of the NWBA High Performance Program. The High Performance Director will lead the execution of the high performance strategy for the NWBA.  

The NWBA High Performance program encompasses all teams selected to represent USA internationally under the jurisdiction of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC)-i.e., Under 23 (Men’s), Under 25 (Women’s), Parapan American Games, Zonal Qualifiers, World Championships, Paralympic Games, among others. 

 

The USA Men’s and Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball Teams fall under the leadership of the NWBA, and more specifically, the High Performance Program.  

 

The qualified application is someone with knowledge and experience to manage, operate and lead the NWBA High Performance Plan for the quadrennial cycle leading up to the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games and beyond. An ideal candidate will have management experience leading all initiatives in a segment of our organization within a demanding environment and in a performance driven role. This applicant wants to serve in a non-profit leadership role that will help positively impact our organization and individuals with physical disabilities.
