JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Emma Broermann has signed her first career professional contract, as she will play overseas in Croatia for Plamen Pozega for the 2024-25 season, as announced by the team on Wednesday.
“I am thrilled that Emma [Broermann] has secured a contract to play overseas! In her time at UNF, she made a positive impact on our team and the athletic department, the Brooks College of Health and the physical therapy clinic where she was an intern,” said UNF head coach Erika Lambert. “Emma is a big value add for every organization she is a part of. Plamen Pozega is getting a fantastic player and person! We’ll be cheering on #40 from Jacksonville!”
The five-year Osprey is the ninth player to turn professional at UNF being the first since Jazz Bond and Erin Jones in 2022. She is also the first player under head coach Erika Lambert to sign a professional contract.
The Okeana, Ohio, native averaged 8.5 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game during her graduate season at UNF. She totaled 956 points, 724 rebounds, 71 blocks and 70 steals during her time in Jacksonville.
This past season, she set the program record for most career games played in an Osprey uniform with 136 appearances. She has not only played, but started in each game for UNF over the past three seasons.
