Bellarmine transfer Langdon Hatton announced his commitment to Indiana today.

A 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward originally from Georgetown, Indiana, Hatton has one season of eligibility remaining.

A product of North Harrison High School, Hatton began his career at William & Mary before transferring to Bellarmine for the last two seasons. Under Scott Davenport at Bellarmine, he averaged 10.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game last season.

A data science major, Hatton was named academic All-ASUN in early March after posting a cumulative GPA of 3.89.

Over 94 career games at William & Mary and Bellarmine, Hatton owns career averages of 6.1 points and four rebounds per game with a 49.1 field goal percentage. His career-high scoring output is 27 points in a 96-95 overtime win at Kennesaw State on Feb. 1, 2024.

The 2023-24 season was easily Hatton’s most productive in his career. He started all 31 games for Bellarmine and shot 50.9 percent on 2s and 33.3 percent on 3s. He pulled down two offensive rebounds per game and totaled 24 blocked shots.

He ranked 13th in the ASUN in offensive rebounding percentage, 12th in defensive rebounding percentage and 14th in block percentage.

Hatton is 18-for-55 on 3s in his career (32.7 percent) and a 62.7 percent free-throw shooter (169 attempts).

He’s expected to be a backup in the IU frontcourt behind Malik Reneau and Oumar Ballo.

Hatton joins Myles Rice, Kanaan Carlyle, Oumar Ballo, Luke Goode and Bryson Tucker as newcomers on Indiana’s 2024-25 roster. The Hoosiers still have one scholarship open.
