Big Ten Announces 2024-25 Women's Basketball Conference Opponents


CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois women’s basketball team’s conference opponents for the 2024-25 Big Ten regular season have been announced by the league office. With the addition of UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Washington, the 18-team Big Ten schedule format now calls for each school to play one team both home and away, and 16 teams once (eight home and eight away).

Illinois will play Northwestern twice, both home and away. The Illini will host Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, Washington, and Oregon. On the flip side, Illinois will visit Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers, Wisconsin, UCLA, and USC.

The 2024-25 Big Ten Conference women’s basketball season will culminate with the 32nd Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, at a location still to be determined.

New season tickets for the 2024-25 Illini women’s basketball season will go on sale on Monday, May 20. Renewals began on May 3, with season ticket holders receiving emails. Fans can log in to their account to renew at this time.

In two years under head coach Shauna Green, the Illinois women’s basketball team has registered 41 wins, the first-ever postseason championship in program history (2024 WBIT), and back-to-back top-5 season attendances in State Farm Center.
