Former Rutgers star Cliff Omoruyi set for five visits

Cliff Omoruyi is likely to take at least five total official visits, this as the former Rutgers center continues to navigate a high level of interest in the transfer portal.

A multi-year starter at Rutgers, Omoruyi was an All-Big Ten selection three times during his four-year career On the Banks. Since entering the transfer portal, he has been heavily recruited by some of the top programs in the nation.

A source close to the situation tells Rutgers Wure that this past weekend,ย  Georgetown received a multi-day visit from Omoruyi. This week, Omoruyi will take a visit to Kansas State. Following that, Alabama will get a midweek visit the following week.

There are likely two more visits involving travel for Omoruyi before he closes in on his decision. The visits arenโ€™t set, but the source said that North Carolina and UCLA are possible visits.

UCLA head coach Mick Cronin has been in steady contact with Omoruyi, the source said.

Last year as a senior at Rutgers,ย Omoruyi averaged 10.4 points per game this seasonย while alsoย averaging 8.3 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. He has one season of eligibility left.

Arkansas, who reached to twice when Eric Musselman was the head coach (now the head coach at USC), has reached out one time recently since the appointment of Rick Pitino as head coach. The contact was made via a member of the coaching staff.
