Looking back on Mike Gorman’s keynote speech for KG’s jersey retirment

Hall of Fame Boston Celtics broadcaster Mike Gorman called the last regular season game of his career vs. the Washington Wizards this past Sunday (April 14) on a day designated “Mike Gorman Day” in the City of Boston.

And while we will see Gorman again in the postseason and perhaps beyond as a guest, his 43-year run behind the microphone for Celtics games is now officially over. But we do not need to stop honoring the man and all he has done for the enjoyment of our favorite ball club in the league. There is a wealth of moments we can look back on to remember how he helped shape the soundtrack to our lives.

One great example is his keynote speech at the jersey retirement of Hall of Fame Celtics forward Kevin Garnett. Check it out for yourself below courtesy of the CLNS Media “History and Storytellers” YouTube channel.
