USC’s Eric Musselman tries to close the sale with high-end transfers

According to The Portal Report on X, Oklahoma transfer Javian McCollum has received interest from several programs, including USC, which is now coached by Eric Musselman. The Trojans would love to land a player as skilled as McCollum.

As reported by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, McCollum is set to take a visit to L.A. this month with Eric Musselman, as the Trojans try to build their roster and find winning players for the Muss Bus’s first season in Southern California.

Other top Power Five programs that have shown interest in McCollum are Vanderbilt, Florida, Michigan, West Virginia, VCU, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Texas A&M.

McCollum averaged 13.3 points and 3.4 assists per game for the Sooners this season. He was a central part of the OU offense under head coach Porter Moser. The Sooners were snubbed for the NCAA Tournament. They were the first team out of the field, a casualty of the large number of automatic bids snapped up by unlikely teams on the final weekend leading into Selection Sunday. USC would be elated to get McCollum. Now we wait to see if Musselman can pull it off.
