The Thunder avoided an upset in their close win over the Grizzlies. The trio of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren combined for 65 points. OKC blew it open late in the second half by building a double-digit lead after a competitive first three quarters.
The Timberwolves continue to keep pace for first place with a blowout win over the Jazz. After being tied at halftime, Minnesota’s strong second half pushed it to a double-digit win. Anthony Edwards and Mike Conley combined for 56 points.
Among teams in the Play-In tournament group, a strong second half helped the Pelicans blow out the Trail Blazers for a 19-point win. New Orleans had four players score 20-plus points. The Kings lost a low-scoring affair to the Knicks, 98-91. Jalen Brunson had 42 points.
The Warriors picked up an important close win over the Lakers. Stephen Curry’s 31 points were enough to overcome LeBron James’ 40-point outing. Both teams will likely face off in the 9 vs. 10 matchup.
