East Lansing, Mich. – The Rutgers women’s basketball team (8-21, 2-14 B1G) will finish out the road portion of its schedule at Michigan State (19-7, 9-6 B1G) on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m.

Last Time Out
Rutgers was defeated by Maryland (16-10, 8-7 B1G), 81-62, on Wednesday night on the road.
Destiny Adams paced the team with 15 points while Kassondra Brown and Lisa Thompson also added 11 points apiece.
Adams, Brown and Chyna Cornwell all recorded eight rebounds each to lead the team.
The Scarlet Knights kept the score close after the first quarter, only trailing by five points. However, the Terps broke away in the second, taking a double-digit lead into halftime and kept it more the rest of the contest.
Block Party
With 125 blocks so far this season, Rutgers currently paces the Big Ten in denials. The next highest in the rankings trails by 14 stops.
Antonia bates currently ranks third in the conference with 44 blocks, averaging 1.6 per outing. The sophomore has registered a block in all but four games this season and recorded 3+ denials in five contests.
Strong Off the Boards
The Scarlet Knights are picking up where they left off last season with a strong presence on the boards.
In the second game of the season against Wagner, RU beat their previous high off the glass from last season, grabbing 55 boards. The squad secured is highest difference of the campaign against Wagner with a +24 margin.
With 1,064 rebounds so far, Rutgers currently ranks third in the Big Ten off the glass. Destiny Adams sits sixth overall in the conference, averaging 7.4 boards per game. She also ranks third in offensive rebounds averaging 2.9 rebounds.
RU has reached 40+ rebounds in seven outings this campaign and come out ahead on the glass 16 times.
The Scarlet “Double-Double” Knights
Rutgers has recorded 13 double-doubles through 29 games this season. Destiny Adams leads the way with seven, while Chyna Cornwell (3), Kaylene Smikle (2) and Kassondra Brown (1) all follow closely behind.
