Margaret Rhodes & Caydee Kirkham named A-R-C Performers of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe College student-athletes Margaret Rhodes and Caydee Kirkham were named American Rivers Conference Performers of the Week for their respective sports on Monday afternoon. Rhodes, a sophomore from Decorah, was named the Women’s Swimming & Diving athlete of the week while Kirkham, a sophomore from Carthage, Illinois, was named the Women’s Basketball player of the week. Rhodes helped the Kohawk women to a victory in their final regular season dual, winning three events along the way including the 1000 Free and 100 Fly. Rhodes, the 2023 swimmer of the year at the A-R-C championships, is earning her second career performer of the week honor. Kirkham is picking up her second player of the week honor this year and third of her career after leading the Kohawk women to a 2-0 week. She averaged 21.5 points per game and shot over 68 percent from the floor and 80 percent from deep. Kirkham began the week with 22 points in a 72-56 win against Luther, adding four assists, two rebounds and one steal. She followed up with 21 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 70-53 win at Nebraska Wesleyan, leading the Kohawks to their 19th win of the season.
