Joe Bamisile’s waiver appeal denied by NCAA

I like Bilas and think he’s among the best media types connected to the sport, but he is and has always been in the tank for complete free agency and unlimited money for players. I totally disagree with him.

JBam’s father’s health is not relevant under the criteria the NCAA published many months ago:

View attachment 13670As for JBam’s own health issues, you have to understand that if “getting a doc’s note” was all that was required, the exception would swallow the rule and the entire process would be a joke.

And I don’t think the NCAA ever said its medical panel would interview the kids. I think they do a review of the documentation and whatever testing may have been done to support the “diagnosis.”

This sucks for VCU and JBam but is the right direction for college basketball
