Men’s Basketball Inks Highly-Touted Three-Member Class on National Signing Day

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Peter and Ann Tombros Endowed Men’s Basketball Head Coach Mike Rhoades has signed a top-40 recruiting class as three highly-touted signees inked their National Letters of Intent on National Signing Day Wednesday.
 
Penn State’s three-member class ranks 31st in the nation according to Rivals and 37th in the nation according to 247 Sports.  The three-member class is comprised of Jahvin Carter (Alcoa, Tenn.), Miles Goodman (Seattle, Wash.) and Dominick Stewart (Ocean Springs, Miss.). The three new Nittany Lions, who will join the program as the Class of 2028, bring accomplished athletic and academic pedigrees to Penn State.

6-3 Guard | Alcoa, Tenn. | Alcoa High School | BMaze Elite UAA

  • Three-star guard who ranks as the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee per 247Sports. 
  • 2,000-point scorer that led Alcoa High School to its first state championship in 56 years in 2023. Was named tournament MVP of state championship and scored the game-winning layup with two seconds to play in championship game.
  • Alcoa High School’s all-time leading scorer with 2,102 career points through three seasons. Also holds school record for points scored in a single game with 62 points.
  • Owns high school career marks of 2,102 points, 466 rebounds, 360 assists and 168 steals through three seasons.
  • Three-time all-district selection, and two-time All-State pick, two-time Daily Times Player of the Year. Tennessee Mr. Basketball finalist.
  • Named team captain and team MVP as a freshman, sophomore and junior.
  • Played AAU on the Under Armour circuit for BMaze Elite.

 
Personal: Son of Jacob and Claire Carter…Has one older brother, Mekhi.
