STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men’s basketball has added a highly-touted student-athlete to the program in the high school class of 2024, inking Elijah Crawford (Augusta, Ga.) to a national letter of intent.
Crawford is rated as a four-start recruit from ESPN and is a consensus top-20 rated point guard in the class of 2024. Standing at 6-2, Crawford is a versatile, do-it-all point guard who can score at all three levels and distribute well to teammates.
“Elijah is a terrific basketball player who has flown under the radar. He is a dynamic guard with the ability to score and make plays for others at a high level,” said Jerod Haase, the Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men’s Basketball. “While his skills are impressive, his ability to lead and his ‘find a way’ mentality is something that we absolutely need, and it will translate extremely well to the college level.”
Attending Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire for his senior season after previously attending Legacy Early College High School in Greenville, South Carolina, Crawford will lead a team ranked ninth in the country by Max Preps while also competing in the top-ranked conference in the country (NIBC).
“He is at a prep school with a stellar academic reputation while also being considered one of the best basketball programs in the nation on a yearly basis,” continued Haase. “Equally as important, Elijah is an amazing person that fits our program and the university. We are so excited for Elijah’s future on The Farm!”
Crawford chose the Cardinal over Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina and UCF. He has potential to become the 16th top-100 signee under Haase.
