James delivered a stellar performance, tallying 24 points along with 4 rebounds and 5 assists.
His accuracy was noteworthy, shooting 6/9 from two and 4/7 from beyond the arc, all within a playing time of 21 minutes and 23 seconds on his home court.
A significant milestone was also achieved as James surpassed the 4,000-point mark in European competition.
He accomplished this feat while playing for various teams, including Baskonia, Panathinaikos, Milan, CSKA Moscow, and finally AS Monaco.
James now stands alongside basketball luminaries such as Juan Carlos Navarro (4,152 points), Nando De Colo (actively playing with 4,278 points), and Vassilis Spanoulis (4,455 points).
After the victory, AS Monaco’s head coach Sasa Obradovic praised the American guard.
“It’s a team victory with Mike James who guides us throughout the meetings, on a collective level and is also capable of making a difference,” Obradovic said.
“His level of basketball is incredible, he makes everyone love him. For me, he is beyond the EuroLeague level.”
