Paul George, DeMar DeRozan hope Brown, Tatum stay together on Celtics

Despite all they have already accomplished together, there are still voices questioning whether star Boston Celtics forwards Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum can win it all on the same team. But not everyone agrees even outside of the wider Celtics fanbase that such a direction would be a wise one for Boston (or Tatum or Brown) to consider.

Speaking on a recent episode of Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George’s “Podcast P” pod, he and veteran Chicago Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan expressed their belief that the duo should try to stick together. “It’s so hard to find two talented wings in our game to be on the same team,” said DeRozan.

“Those guys have gained so much experience already playing together, being to the finals, being in the conference finals, All-Stars,” he added. “It’s so hard to find that within your own organization.”

“They play off each other so well,” observed George. “It’s not like, ‘You get a shot, I get a shot.’ He’s in attack mode, Tatum being in attack mode, and they’re looking for each other.

“They play off one another; honestly, I hope they stay together,” said the Clippers star. “You think about legacy, they’re doing it in Boston. They’ve got a chance if they stay together, if they build. They’ve got a chance to be up there with some of the greatest players we’ve ever seen.”
