Sixers have ‘optimism’ about Joel Embiid

The Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid, who is dealing with an LCL injury in his knee, is unlikely to play in Game 1 on Monday, but there is “optimism” that he could play in Game 2 on Wednesday.

“There has been improvement and I’m told there is optimism that Joel Embiid could make his return for Game 2,” ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said.
