When star guard Hailey Van Lith hit the transfer portal, speculation connecting her to LSU began immediately.
Van Lith had a prior relationship with head coach Kim Mulkey from her original recruitment process and LSU was in the market for a point guard with Alexis Morris headed to the WNBA.
After a visit, Van Lith committed to LSU and Mulkey added to her star-studded collection of stars.

Based on some social media posts, it’s obvious LSU rolled out the red carpet for the Louisville transfer. Not only did Van Lith check out the basketball program, but she got to meet LSU’s gym team fresh off their national title appearance.

I’m sure it’s not the first time a recruit has met with the school president, but it’s not something you see all the time, either. LSU made a full-throttled effort throughout the university to land Van Lith, and it paid off.
