Nebraska basketball player to ‘test NBA Draft waters’

A Nebraska basketball player has announced they will enter the NBA Draft while maintaining his NCAA eligibility. A report from Robin Washut says that Keisei Tominaga will ‘test the NBA waters,’ but in a manner that would allow him to return to the Cornhuskers should he not like what NBA scouts tell him.

In 32 games last season, the Nagoya, Japan native averaged 13.1 points while shooting 50% from the field, 40% from three, and 86% from the free throw line. Tominiga made a run at the end of the season, scoring 20 or more points in seven of his final nine games.

Tominiga was also a 2020 Olympian, playing for Team Japan in the Games 3×3 tournament. He would help lead his team to the quarterfinals, where they would lose to the eventual gold medal winner Lativa.

There is no word on what Tominaga would need to hear to remain in the NBA Draft. Find a photo gallery of Keisei Tominiga’s Nebraska career below.
