So far, the North Carolina Tar Heels’ involvement in the transfer portal has been players leaving the program, with Caleb Love being the latest on Monday afternoon.

But hours after Love’s announcement, the team has landed a commitment out of the portal.

Per Stockrisers, former Brown guard Paxson Wojcik has committed to North Carolina out of the portal. He’s the first verbal commitment for the Tar Heels in the 2023 portal cycle and comes at a spot of need at the guard position.

The guard pledged his commitment to the program after taking an official visit to Chapel Hill this past weekend. The visit did enough to win him over in his new recruitment.

Wojcik averaged 14.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game last season for Brown and shot 46 percent from the field and 38 percent from the three-point line.

The 6-foot-5 guard is the son of Doug Wojcik who coached at UNC from 2000-20003. Wojcik has one year of eligibility left.
