The Nebraska women’s basketball team will take to the road for the third round of postseason play. The Cornhuskers will travel to Allen Fieldhouse to face the Kansas Jayhawks in the Super 16 of the WNIT.
Thursday’s game will be the 85th meeting between the Jayhawks and Cornhuskers. Kansas holds the series lead at 50-34.
Earlier this season, Nebraska hosted Kansas at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. It was on December 21st that the Cornhuskers defeated the Jayhawks 85-79 in triple overtime.
When the two teams met, Kansas was 10-0 and ranked No. 20 in the nation. Jaz Shelley led the Huskers in scoring with 24 points.
The Jayhawks finished the 2022-23 season with a record of 21-11 and 9-9 in the Big 12. Nebraska and Kansas will tip off on Thursday at 6:30 PM.
