Haley Schubert Named To WBCA All-America Team

ATLANTA, Ga.-Lee University women’s basketball star Haley Schubert was named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Division II All-America Team on Friday. It is the third straight season that Schubert has been named to the Honorable Mention All-American team.

Schubert, the only active player in NCAA Division II with 2000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists, is the third player in Gulf South Conference history to reach that mark. She was named to the D2CCA First team All South Region and was also a First Team All-GSC member this season. She led the Gulf South Conference in points per game this season at 19.4 points per game. She is 17th in all of NCAA DII in scoring. She finished her career 2nd all time in school history in points with 2284. She also has 536 career rebounds and 521 career rebounds.

Head Coach Marty Rowe is extremely proud of Schubert. “This is a great testament to Haley’s consistency and ability to perform at a high level once again. She has been an unbelievable representative of our basketball program and we’re excited for being recognized.”

This season Schubert and her teammates went 26-7, won the GSC regular season, made it to the GSC Tournament Championship game, and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
