Nebraska basketball saw their four-game winning streak snapped on Monday night. The Cornhuskers fell to Michigan State 80-67 in front of a packed house at the Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Keisei Tominaga led the Cornhuskers with 20 points, while Jamarques Larence added 15. The Huskers had a 12-point lead at halftime, but Michigan State would score 54 points in the second half while shooting 12-17 from three.
The loss drops Nebraska to 15-15 overall and 8-11 in Big Ten play. The evening also saw four Cornhuskers honored for senior night.
They are Sam Griesel, Derrick Walker, Emmanuel Bandoumel and Keisei Tominaga. While Tominaga participated in the senior day honors, he does maintain another year of eligibility. However, he has stated that he has not yet decided on his future.
Nebraska will wrap up the regular season on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes. Tipoff is at 1:00 PM, and the game can be seen on the Big Ten Network.
