Recap: For the Rams, a win against St. Louis Tuesday evening would mean locking in first place heading into the conference tournament next week. St. Louis gave it their best shot but Coach Rhoades and company left the STU with their 14th win, beating SLU 79-67.
The Rams had 6 players score in the double digits, Sophomore Jalen DeLoach leading them all with 14 points. Ace Baldwin, Jayden Nunn and Nick Kern Jr chipped in 12 while Jamir Watkins and Brandon Johns Jr 10 and 11 points, respectively.
The Rams shot 48% overall (29 of 60) from the field. They struggled to connect from deep. They hit just 2 of 13 three pointers on the night, shooting 15%.
The Rams continued to handle the ball well, turning it over just 12 times.
Next Game:VCU will travel to Washington D.C. on Saturday March 4th where they will tip off against George Washington University at 4:30pm. The game will be televised on the USA Network.
