There have been moments in the tenure of Derrick White where he wasn’t just unfairly dinged, the Colorado native was downright disrespected by some in the wider Celtics media sphere.
But now, it is clear that the White trade was quite far from a disaster with him playing at an All-Star level in recent games for his ball club at just the moment they needed the Colorado alum to do so. Finally, White is getting some love from fans and the media both a little more than a year after being dealt to the team at the 2022 NBA trade deadline.
Among them is NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg, who recently gave him his flowers for how well White has been playing for Boston of late.
