BOS holds off MEM 119-109 with balanced effort

The Boston Celtics showed up hoping to represent the legacy of Hall of Fame Boston big man Bill Russell at TD Garden on what would have been his 89th birthday on Sunday, even rocking the City Edition jerseys he helped design. And Russell would have been proud with perhaps the most team-oriented win of the season getting the job done for Boston with all but one of the players who got on the court for the Celtics scoring in double figures.

Big outings from Derrick White (23 points, 10 assists), Sam Hauser (20 points), Jayson Tatum (16 points, 7 rebounds), Al Horford (16 points, 9 boards, 5 assists), and Robert Williams III (10 points, 16 rebounds) rounded out the starters, while Grant Williams (10 points, 9 rebounds), Mike Muscala (10 points, 5 boards), and Payton Pritchard (12 points) carried the bench mob.

Let’s take a look at some of the best plays captured in images from the Celtics’ game No. 57 of their 2022-23 campaign.
