GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Pitt and Virginia each scored key wins this week to pull into a three-way tie with Clemson atop the ACC men’s basketball standings. The Panthers rolled past Louisville, 91-57, while No. 8 Virginia scored a 63-50 victory over No. 22 NC State.

No. 19 Miami notched a big win, 81-59, on Monday over Duke and sits one-half game behind the ACC leaders. Boston College went on the road and topped Virginia Tech, 82-76, behind 24 points and 10 rebounds from big man Quinten Post. Syracuse also went on the road and notched a 76-67 win at Florida State, with Joseph Girard III pouring in 26 points.

Wake Forest outlasted North Carolina, 92-85, Tuesday night as Tyree Appleby scored 35 points and hit an ACC-record 23 free throws on 28 attempts. Georgia Tech won at the buzzer, 70-68, over Notre Dame as Lance Terry tipped in the game winner as time expired.
