CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women’s basketball team fell to No. 3 Campbellsville 75-56 inside of Powell Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon.

The difference in the game came in the post as the Tigers outscored the Blue Raiders 46-18 in the paint. Lindsey Wilson also struggled to combat many Campbellsville runs throughout the contest.

Three players finished in double figures for the Blue Raiders including Lucy Patterson (16), Maleigha Oldham (13), and Jordyn Stephens (11).

The game started out highly contested as the first media timeout saw the game tied at seven. After Lindsey Wilson grabbed the lead late in the opening frame, the Tigers went on a 9-0 run to go up 19-11. Patterson scored a basket with under a minute left to cut the lead to six points at the end of the first quarter.

Campbellsville started the second quarter with a 6-0 run extending the lead to 27-13. After the Tigers gained their largest lead of the first half, 34-17, the Blue Raiders began to fight back. Oldham, Diamond Bryant, and Stephens connected on three-pointers and Olivia Perry added a free-throw to cut the deficit to 34-27 with 2:15 left in the second quarter. The Tigers scored two baskets to push the lead back to double digits, 38-27, at the half.

After an Oldham three-pointer opened the second half, the Tigers took control, outscoring the Blue Raiders, 12-2, to go up 50-32 with 3:36 left in the third quarter.

The Blue Raiders were able to cut the lead down to 53-39 heading into the final frame.
