No. 7 Utah downs Oregon State 75-73 in OT

CORVALLIS, Ore.  – The No. 7 Utah Utes picked up another thrilling win, this time in overtime, with a 75-73 score over Oregon State. 

Utah advanced to 19-2 overall on the season and 9-2 in Pac-12 play. This ties the best record through 21 games in school history. Oregon State is now 11-11 on the season and 3-8 in the Pac-12. 

Utah established the pace of the game early in the first quarter jumping out to a 14-4 lead. The Beavers made a little surge to catch up but the Utes ended the first quarter on an 8-0 run including a made three ball by Kennady McQueen at the buzzer. McQueen’s three pointer gave Utah a 22-9 lead going into the second quarter of play. 

The Utes pushed out for an 18 point lead in the second quarter but the Beavers bounced back with a 6-0 run to end the half and bring the score to 38-27.

Utah continued its push in the third quarter maintaining a double digit lead until Oregon State went on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to single digits with a 54-46 score going into the final quarter. The Utes started the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run to push back out for a 15 point lead with seven minutes left. 



The Beavers then went on a 14-3 run to bring the score within four. With just under a minute left in regulation, Oregon State drained a jumper in the paint to put the score at 66-64, still in the Utes favor. With 10 seconds left the Beavers were able to get another bucket to tie the game. Utah wasn’t able to produce in the time…
