The Clemson men’s basketball team continues to find a way to tack on wins.
Playing against Virginia Tech on Saturday, the Tigers came away with a 51-50 victory, with Hunter Tyson drilling a game-winning 3-pointer with just 10.8 seconds left in the game.
The fifth-year forward ended the game with 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting and 2-of-7 from beyond the arc, while PJ Hall led the way once again, pouring in a game-high 20 points.
Clemson is now 16-4 on the year and 8-1 in ACC play, and Tyson has been the propellant for most of the season. He is averaging a double-double, scoring 15.6 points per game and grabbing 10.0 rebounds per game.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Tyson’s clutch shot.
Hot Take: This is Clemson’s best win of the season. Down your starting PG & SG against a fully healthy VT squad and you found a way to win an ugly basketball game. 51-50 Tigers with Hunter Tyson as the hero. WHAT A WIN.

Hunter Tyson, talking about his winning 3, says his brother Cade, who is a forward at Belmont, was No. 1 on SportsCenter earlier in the year on a similar shot.
“I didn’t want him to one-up me,” Tyson said. “But I probably won’t be No. 1 on SportsCenter. So he’s got me on that.”

Hunter Tyson. Cold-blooded. His 3-pointer at top of key with 10 seconds left gives Clemson 51-50 win against Virginia Tech.

To win ugly like that and hit a game winning shot in the waning seconds will serve to get momentum back on the Tigers side after dropping a tough matchup with Wake a few days ago.
Need to get Chase healthy.
