1. The Cougars conclude their Rocky Mountain road swing in Boulder
to face the Colorado Buffaloes for the only regular season matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 22 at 4 p.m. MT (3 p.m. PT) at the CU Events Center with coverage on ESPNU. Last year, WSU and CU split the series. Jan. 6, 2022, WSU fell in Boulder 78-83. TJ Bamba was one of three double-digit Cougar scorers with 14 points. Washington State returned the favor with a 70-43 routing in Pullman, Jan. 30. In a defensive showcase, WSU held Colorado to 28.6% shooting from the floor and Andrej Jakimovski finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

2. Last time out, the Utes defeated the Cougs, 77-63, in Salt Lake City Thursday night. Carlsen scored a career-high 28 points for the Utes. WSU’s Mouhamed Gueye finished with a team-high 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Jabe Mullins finished with 11 points and Justin Powell added 10. The Utes shot over 55% from the field, including 9 made 3-pointers.

3. The Cougars average 8.8 made 3-point field goals per game, more than any other team in the Pac-12 (8th in major conferences). WSU leads the Conference in 3-point percentage. Individually, Jabe Mullins is fifth in the country with a 48.2% (40-of-83) clip from beyond the arc. Mullins has the best 3-point percentage of any player in Power 6 conferences. Against Detroit Mercy, Nov. 25, the Cougars set a school record with 19 made 3s.

4. DJ Rodman has scored in double figures six of the last seven games, and averaged 14.3 points per game after averaging 4.6 ppg through his first 12 games. The Newport Beach, Calif., senior is shooting 55% from 3-point range over that seven-game span (22-of-40). Rodman has drawn 21 charges this season, believed to be leading the country. He is second on the team with 16 steals and 5.7 rebounds per game.

5. Justin Powell leads the Pac-12 in assist-to-turnover ratio, with a 2.9 ratio. Nine times this season Powell has not…
