No. 19 Clemson will be without a key starter ahead of the Tigers matchup on the road at Wake Forest on Tuesday night.
Head coach Brad Brownell shared with CBS Sports on Tuesday that they would be without starter Chase Hunter against the Demon Deacons after the guard sustained a foot injury in Clemson’s latest 72-64 win over Duke.
The blow to the Tigers roster comes at a time when Brownell and his team are currently on a historic ACC run with a perfect 7-0 record against ACC teams along with being ranked for the first time this season.
In his fourth season with the Clemson program, Hunter has averaged 14 points per game and has started all 18 games for the Tigers. The 6-foot-3.5, 204-pound junior put up 11 points in Clemson’s last meeting with the Demon Deacons back in December.
